The Limasan Heritage II (Bali)

Everything began with a dream: creating my own house in Bali, close to the waves

I wanted a place that felt majestic, with high ceilings and generous spaces. A place that respected local traditions, drawing from centuries of Indonesian craftmanship and vernacular architecture designed for tropical living. A house that was social and inviting, where friends and family could gather around a large terrace or share moments through a bar-style kitchen window. A space that was entertaining, with a pool table and a projector for long evenings. And above all, a home that was sustainable, built from natural materials and centered around a salt-water pool.

The result exceeded my expectations. It became in my eyes a living example of how tradition, comfort, and design can meet.

Today, the project has grown into more than a single home: we are now building a second villa, right next door, with the same philosophy and characteristics.

A picture is worth more than words

Villa features

Design & Architecture

Traditional structure

High-pitched roofs and natural ventilation, designed over centuries to withstand Bali’s tropical heat and rains. Built from reclaimed 100+ year-old massive teak wood, naturally dense and resistant to termites, ensuring strength and longevity.

Natural materials

Stone, wood, and recycled clay plasters allow the walls to “breathe,” regulating temperature and humidity naturally. These materials age beautifully, creating a patina over time that only adds to the villa’s authentic charm.

Indoor-outdoor flow

Embrace the tropical lifestyle: Large covered terraces offer shade and a natural gathering space. Full-height glass sliding doors invite in natural light and allow air to circulate freely. The boundary between inside and outside disappears—so you can live outdoors while enjoying all the comfort of indoor shelter.

Optional outdoor bathroom

For those who want the full tropical experience, the villa can be customized to include an outdoor guest bathroom—showering under the open sky surrounded by natural materials and lush garden. If preferred, this option can be adjusted early in the planning process.

Social & Entertainment

Generous living spaces

At the heart of the villa is a vast living room with soaring ceilings, designed for connection and relaxation. We believe bedrooms are made for sleeping, so we focused on making the communal areas large and inviting. This is where most of life happens—family dinners, game nights, or simply watching the rain pour down from the safety of a cozy sofa.

Bar-style kitchen window

The kitchen opens directly to the terrace with a wide bar-style window, turning cooking into a social act. Prepare meals while still sharing stories, drinks, and laughter with friends sitting outside—no one is left out of the moment.

Entertainment options

From a pool table to a large projector, evenings are designed to be memorable. Whether it’s movie nights, sports screenings, or casual games, the villa offers a perfect blend of relaxation and fun.

Comfort & Lifestyle

Salt-water swimming pool

The villa’s pool is filtered using salt instead of heavy chlorine. The result: softer water that is kinder to your skin, hair, and clothes. It requires less chemical maintenance and creates a more natural swimming experience—refreshing, clean, and sustainable.

Quiet neighborhood

Located in what we call “The Limasan Village,” the villa is surrounded by similar wooden traditional structures that create a serene, village-like atmosphere. The neighborhood is calm and family-friendly, while also offering the warmth and friendliness of local Balinese hospitality.

Covered stylish garage

The villa includes a covered garage, practical yet elegant, with space for multiple motorbikes or a car and a bike. It also shelters the water tanks and pool machinery.

Location

Situated just outside the busy Bukit center, the villa offers the best of both worlds—peaceful surroundings with quick access to attractions. 5 minutes to Pandawa Beach, a family-friendly favorite. Perfectly positioned for surfers: halfway between the Uluwatu coast (dry season) and the Nusa Dua coast (rainy season), with several quality spots within 10 minutes. Fast airport access via Goa Gong street, a road that avoids the heavy traffic toward Uluwatu.
